Who is that? He is my second child by only 4 months. We adopted him at 16 months in 2002 and he has been your typical child in many ways. He was not walking when we brought him home and not eating with spoons or forks. He was still using a bottle and mush food because he only had 4 teeth.

Since then he has grown to an amazing little boy of 7!! He was very delayed in all areas but over the last six years he has grown and developed in every area. He is wonderful but again can be frustrating but raising any kid will be. He still is a bit of speech delayed but nothing IF HE SLOWS down you really can' t understand. He makes me realize what I needed to be as a parent how to be a better parent and yes how I can be a bad parent. We are lucky to have him.

Who is Brandon? He is my oldest that we adopted at 20 months. The past six years have been very frustrating and very joyous. Why frustrating? It took us until he was 5 yrs old to learn he was emotionally behind. We could not figure hime out he was always fighting us very disrupted and out of sorts. It was then we learn that he was not attached to us. He was still emotionally an 18 month year old at age 5!! What does that do? He is afraid of things he is unaware of things he is smart and funny but not totally connected. He is a mix bag that is hard to figure out.

Move forward two years to the present day... he is emotionally grown to 5 a lot better than an infant but now he is in the second grade and expected to handle things like a 7 year old. Not easy to deal with. Also along the way we discoved he might have some FAE.. what is that? Fetal Alcohol Effects.. meaning their is some brain damage in his brain from inutero issues that we will not fully understand until he is older. Which is ok. He is developing pretty well considering his past.
